Grand Poet Hotel Opens the First Design Hotel in Riga

The first five-star design hotel in Riga, "Grand Poet Hotel," opened its doors on January 12th of this year. It was created by the Latvian hotel chain "Semarah Hotels," which also includes hotels such as "Metropole" and "Lielupe."

"With the opening of the hotel on Raiņa Boulevard, a new chapter in the story of Semarah Hotels begins. This is the first design hotel in Riga, a tribute to modern art and a bohemian lifestyle. Visitors will be delighted not only by the unique design but also by the view of one of Riga's most romantic parks - Bastejkalns. The hotel building has a long and vibrant history, and special care has been taken to preserve it during the reconstruction process," reveals Olga Smirnova, the manager of the Semarah Hotels chain.

"Grand Poet Hotel" is located at Raiņa Boulevard 5/6, in the heart of historic Riga, near the Freedom Monument. The hotel's name embodies duality, which is often present in poets - practicality and bohemianism. The building itself is an architectural monument, so as many authentic elements as possible have been preserved, such as wooden stairs spanning five floors and historical tiled stoves. The hotel's design was created by the renowned and award-winning Swedish company "Stylt Trampoli."

The new hotel features 168 elegant rooms, including luxurious suites. "Everything is in one place here - a restaurant for a new and sophisticated gastronomic experience, modern event and conference spaces, a spacious wellness center, and three elegant spa treatment rooms, which will open in early spring.
